The Mount Moriac Hotel provides free 48-hour road-side camping for self-contained campers who are patrons of the hotel.

We kindly ask that you take any rubbish you accumulate with you when you depart and not use our bins for disposal.

T & C’s

1. Since the campsite has limited capacity, only guests who have confirmed venue booking at the hotel are eligible to camp for free.
2. No guaranteed camping spot without a table reservation. To secure free camping, you must enter the ‘booking reference number’ for your table reservation, which can be found in the confirmation email, into our booking form.
3. In the event of a hotel booking cancellation after the campsite has been confirmed, your reserved camping spot will be cancelled too.
4. You can book for a maximum of 2 nights (48 hours), with each booking being for a single night.
5. As a result of local council regulations, camping on our property is restricted to vehicles that have their own toilet and shower facilities. This means that tents, swags, vans, roof top arrangements, and car sleeping arrangements are not permitted.
6. Booking online is required.
7. If you are part of a travelling group with multiple vehicles, separate bookings are required for each vehicle.
8. Nightly inspections will be conducted by hotel management and Surf Coast Shire. Council fines may apply.
9. Littering is strictly prohibited. Please take all your rubbish with you when you leave the premises.
