Peter “Hutchy” Hutchins is preparing for his first Finke Desert Race, but he’s no stranger to motorsport.

When he’s not at work, you’ll usually find him in the shed helping prepare vehicles, solving problems and making sure everything is race-ready. His experience around racing and navigation has made him a valuable part of the team.

This may be Hutchy’s first time lining up at Finke, but he’s more than ready to take on the challenge.

Teaming up with Ashley Foot, the pair bring a wealth of experience, passion and proven success to the desert. Together they’ve celebrated multiple wins and podium finishes, including a recent class victory at the South Australian Titles.

With strong preparation behind them and a shared drive to succeed, they’re a combination worth watching throughout the weekend.

For Hutchy, this is the next step in a long involvement with motorsport, and a chance to experience one of Australia’s most iconic races from inside the car.
